Illustration for Scholastic Inc's new program called expert 21 books. This was to accompany Toshi Mori's short story of a boy in the 1940's San Francisco creating his own business by buying up used magazines and reselling them door to door called 'Business at Eleven' Unfortunately they decided to kill the story so this and two other illustrations from the series will go unpublished.

They wanted it to still be set in the '40's but it also needed a contemporary feel to help kids relate to it today.
