Wow. That my friend is one hawt painting. Really nice. What exactly did you use, watercolors? I don't think I'd be able to put water on it to make it drip and such after I had finished it give it the runny paint effect. Heh. :+fav:

I do so look forward to each of your submissions!
Love your shading and style, but some of the drips are so perfectly parallel that they look a bit like scratch marks?

How many flies buzzed round you innocent of your
grime, while you cursed the heavens of the rail-
road and your flower soul?

excellent, reminds me of a painting I saw a few years ago of a massive child's head (about 2m x 2m) that was done with very watery paint. Perhaps you could emphasize the lightness of it a bit more, the wash almost look like it was done over the top of the face, rather than being part of the method...

Thanks. Yeah, you probably are talking about Cherry Hood's work. She's great. That's a good point, thanks for the comment I will keep that in mind next time.

Very intresting. I really like the way at first glance, it almost looks messy. But then upon looking closer, it looks so well put together. Excellent work. D

Let it flow.

The painting is awesome, it shows true understanding of form. Personally I love the washes over the work, it makes the piece less rigid and constrained - it gives it an energy. Years ago when I first started with oil painting classes, my teacher had a huge portrait on her wall (about 3X4m) which had similar technique. It made the work very emotional. I think you should pursue your 'experimental' technique.
